A freak accident leaves an accomplished, young Canadian surgeon haunted by mysterious visions and dreams and unable to perform the simplest surgery. They drive him to Australia in a quest for a dying man and an aboriginal woman who hold the key to his identity and recovery. His pregnant fiance is driven to follow to find out what has happened to the man she loves.
